Client resources

Deadlines, what to bring, and the portal.

Everything a client needs between meetings. The deadline tracker counts from today; the checklist remembers what you have gathered.

Deadlines

What’s coming up.

The next four federal dates that apply to most of our clients, counted from today. State dates usually match; we’ll tell you when they don’t.

  1. 01-15Q4 estimated tax payment
  2. 01-31W-2s and 1099-NECs due to workers and the IRS
  3. 03-15S-corp and partnership returns (or extension)
  4. 04-15Individual and C-corp returns, Q1 estimate

Dates shift to the next business day when they fall on a weekend or holiday; the tracker shows the statutory date. Not tax advice.

What to bring

Your appointment checklist.

Tick items off as you gather them; the list remembers your progress on this device. Upload everything to the portal or bring it in; either works.

What does a tax return cost?

Individual returns start at $295 and most land between $350 and $650 depending on schedules. Business returns start at $900. You get a written quote after a 20-minute intake call, and the price does not change unless the scope does.

Do you work with clients who are not in Olive Branch?

Yes. About a third of our clients are in Memphis, Collierville, and Hernando, and several are out of state. Everything can be done through the secure portal and video calls; the office is here if you prefer to sit down.

Can you take over mid-year from another accountant?

Yes, and it is common. We request your prior returns and books, review them, and tell you what we would change before you commit. Switching in the fall is ideal so planning happens before December.

I have not filed in a few years. Is that something you handle?

It is one of the most common reasons people call. We pull your IRS transcripts, file the missing years in the right order, and negotiate penalties or a payment plan. No judgment; the goal is to get you current.

Do you do QuickBooks cleanup?

Yes. A cleanup is quoted as a fixed project after we look at the file. Most single-entity cleanups take two to four weeks and run $1,200 to $3,500 depending on how far back the mess goes (sample pricing).
